From the American Pregnancy Association to the Mayo Clinic to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, there is general consensus among the experts regarding nutritional requirements of pregnant women.
The basics include things like higher protein, higher fiber, lower glycemic, and more of certain vitamins and minerals. Nightfood provides more of what you need than other ice creams.

Only after we found pregnant women posting on Instagram about how much they loved Nightfood did we do the nutritional research and realize how much better Nightfood is for pregnant women than other ice creams.

Nightfood does not contain sleep-aid substances or drugs, and it’s not a dietary supplement. It’s simply a better-for-you and more sleep-friendly choice for people already eating ice cream.
Everybody knows that what you eat before bed matters.
So, we removed/minimized stuff that’s in most other ice creams that can be sleep disruptive (excess sugar, excess fat, excess calories, caffeine in certain flavors), and we considered the nighttime digestive process and the existing research linking sleep to nutritional choices. From there, we added certain minerals and amino acids that research suggests can support sleep quality.
Long story short, our sleep and nutrition experts were tasked with developing a better ice cream for the millions of Americans that regularly have ice cream in the hours before bed. That’s what we call sleep-friendly.
Our experts worked with the most innovative ice cream R&D lab in the country to make sure Nightfood was better than anything else on the market. The result is a higher protein, higher fiber ice cream with less fat, less sugar, and fewer calories. You can view full ingredient and allergy information for each flavor here. All our pints are made on shared equipment that also processes peanuts and tree nuts. The production lines are cleaned and tested for traces of nuts after each production run to verify there are no traces of these ingredients, however it is not a nut-free facility.
